Short Summary
Nona the Ninth follows Nona, an amnesiac young woman living with her guardians—Camilla, Pyrrha, and the necromancer Palamedes—in a city under siege. Nona's life is only six months old, and she doesn't know her real name or whose body she inhabits. As the city descends into violence and a mysterious blue sphere (which Nona secretly calls Varun) drives people mad, Nona's guardians prepare for a confrontation with the imperial forces of the Emperor John Gaius.
