Summary

Chapter 20 opens with Kiara waiting at the Regal-Hi pool at nine in the morning, where she meets Marsha, a lawyer who has agreed to take her case pro bono. Marsha is a striking figure—blond, blue-eyed, dressed in a pencil skirt and stilettos—and she stands out sharply against the grimy pool setting.
