Summary

After returning from her Sunday shift, Zoya Zakharova retrieves two long sewing needles she had hidden inside her forearm. She smuggled them from the sewing workshop by stabbing herself and sealing the wounds with glue. Back in her cell, she washes the needles and hides them behind the toilet. Soon Warden Maximov and two guards escort her to the administration building. Colonel Baronov is waiting with a contingent of FSB Alpha Group troops. He dismisses Maximov and reveals that he and Zoya have met before: during an interrogation at Lefortovo, he injected her with a new psychoactive drug.
