Her daughter Siyu, rebellious and pregnant by an outsider named Anyso, flees the Priory. Tunuva and her partner Esbar pursue Siyu across the Ersyr desert and into Virtudom. After the Dreadmount erupts, sending five great wyrms and a plague across the world, the Priory faces new enemies. A mysterious woman named Canthe joins them, later revealed to be the Witch of Inysca who kidnapped Tunuva’s infant son.
