Summary

Chapter Six opens with Lucas waking from a nightmare, disoriented and struggling to breathe. He reminds himself he is not in the water, a mantra he has repeated many times in recent months. He spots Rosie asleep in the bed, remembering that he carried her there after they both dozed off while watching a vampire show. She tries to cover her ogling by claiming she loves tattoos, and Lucas teases her about it.
