Summary
The chapter opens at the diner, where Sariyah learns that Danny has died. The news hits her so hard that she becomes physically ill and rushes to the restroom. Malcolm follows her and tells her that Danny suffered a heart attack. Sariyah immediately begins to blame herself, reasoning that the nail file she gave Danny led to an infection that put strain on his heart.
