The chapter opens with Bryce Quinlan partying at the White Raven nightclub alongside Fury Axtar and Juniper Andromeda. Fury knows the owner, Riso, so they get a private booth. Bryce consumes lightseeker powder and drinks heavily while Juniper abstains because of an early class. Juniper briefly disappears with a Fae male.
Bryce dances wildly, losing herself in the music and drugs. She sends messages and a video to Danika. Time blurs; she considers quitting her job and living at the club. Eventually, she finds herself on her own street with no memory of leaving the club or getting home. Barefoot and exhausted, she struggles to remember her building’s entry code.
