Summary

Nash updates Thura on Steers’s sale of the business, and Thura asks if he must leave the U.S. Nash explains the immigration path that will allow Thura to stay permanently, and Thura expresses gratitude for the turn his life has taken. They discuss the bizarre partnership between Masuyo and the prison owner, and Nash admits he has no clear future plans.

Later, Nash speaks with Shock, who reports that Rhett Temple is still in training and suffering. Nash instructs Shock to triple the rate, prolong the ordeal, and work toward Temple’s eventual incarceration.

In a call with FBI Agent Morris, Nash learns that the Department of Justice plans to build an ironclad case against Steers and that Morris expects Nash to serve as the lead government witness. When Nash refuses, Morris grows aggressive, reminding him of the money paid and his daughter’s death. Nash ends the call, devastated. Immediately, Steers calls and asks Nash to take her somewhere; she has been distant and cold since their return, and Nash wonders whether the sale has forced her to confront a drastically altered life—or whether something else troubles her.
